The SOLIDUS National Seminar took place on the 9th of May 2018, at the University of Cyprus. Its aim was to disseminate the main findings and policy recommendations of the project, and encourage dialogue with policy makers and NGOs in relation to solidarity issues in Cyprus. Following the presentation of the background information on the project (countries involved, funding information, areas of interest, ways of working), a reference to the participants and data collected from Cyprus was made. The Greek research team participating in the SOLIDUS project held its national seminar on Friday 1 June in the Amphitheatre of the Department of Social and Education Policy at the University of the Peloponnese in Corinth. The aim of the seminar was to disseminate the research outcomes of SOLIDUS and to focus on the similarities of solidarisation during the Greek crisis with the European solidarity context. On Tuesday 17th April, the Norwegian SOLIDUS team were involved in a closing seminar where the overarching topic was the boundaries of solidarity. Research Director Are Vegard Haug (NOVA/OsloMet) was the moderator. On March 13th the SOLIDUS Policy and Social Dialogue Committee (PSDC) met in Barcelona. Experts, policy makers and civil society representatives from across Europe came together to discuss findings from the SOLIDUS research. On 9th February 2018, the third European Seminar on Solidarity, specifically ‘Solidarity during the Greek crisis’ took place. Held in the University of the Peloponnese in Corinth (Greece), speakers from different fields and disciplines came together, including policy makers, civil society members and academics.
